Privacy Policy

The short version: This is a small website run by one author. It collects almost nothing. There are no advertising trackers, nothing is ever sold, and the only personal detail it asks for is your email address — and only if you choose to give it, so we can send you the free chapter and let you know about new work. Even that address isn't kept on this site; it lives in our newsletter provider, Kit. That's the whole story. The rest of this page just spells it out.
Who runs this site
TheKybalionUnlocked.com is the website of the author Ken McHardie, published by Appware Studio Pty Ltd, Queensland, Australia. This policy covers the website at thekybalionunlocked.com. If you have any question about it, you can reach a real person through the contact page.
What this site collects, and why
There are only a few things, and each one has a plain reason behind it:
- Your email address, if you give it. When you sign up for the free chapter or to be told when new work is released, you hand over your email address — just the address, nothing else. It is stored only in Kit, our newsletter provider — never on this website, which keeps no record of you at all. We use it to send you what you asked for and the occasional note about new books. Nothing more.
- Basic security and delivery data. Like every website, ours is served through Cloudflare, which automatically handles things like blocking malicious traffic and serving pages quickly. This involves standard technical data such as IP addresses, used only to keep the site running and safe, not to build a profile of you. Cloudflare also shows us anonymous, aggregate traffic totals — how many visits, from roughly where — never individual people.
- Anything you choose to send through the contact form. If you write to us via the contact page, your name, email address, and message are delivered to us as an ordinary email so we can reply. That is their only use.
Cookies
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. There is no analytics script on these pages at all. Cloudflare may set a small number of strictly functional cookies to keep the site secure and working, and that is the extent of it.
Who else is involved
To run the site, a few trusted services handle small, specific jobs on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the website, serves the files, and provides the security and aggregate traffic information described above.
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) manages the email list. If you sign up, your email address is stored there so we can send you the free chapter and updates. You can leave the list at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Web3Forms relays contact-form messages. When you press send, it passes your name, email address, and message to us as an email. It does not add you to any list.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces on these pages. When your browser loads them, Google receives the standard technical request data (such as your IP address) needed to deliver the font files. It receives nothing about who you are.
- Geniuslink and Amazon. The "Get the Book" links use Geniuslink (geni.us) to send you to the Amazon store for your country. Clicking one takes you off this site — first briefly through Geniuslink, then to Amazon — where their own privacy policies take over. We never see your payment details.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any reason. There is no advertising business behind this site to feed.
Your choices
This is the simplest part, because there is almost nothing to manage. This website does not store anything about you — there is no database here, no record of visitors, and no list of email addresses kept on the site. The only piece of personal data is the email address you give when you subscribe — nothing else is ever asked for — and it is held in Kit and nowhere else.
- To leave the list: click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email we have sent. That takes you off the mailing list straight away, so the emails stop.
- To see, change, or fully delete your details: you can manage them yourself inside Kit, or raise it through our contact form — choose the subject "Privacy or data request" — and we will have it done in Kit for you — including erasing your address from its records entirely if that is what you want.
How long anything is kept
There is nothing on this website to keep — it holds no records of any kind, and there is no store of information here for anyone to look up. Your email address exists in one place only, Kit, and only for as long as you want the emails. When you unsubscribe you are taken off the list and the emails stop; if you would also like the address erased from Kit entirely, just ask and it is gone. Messages sent through the contact form arrive as ordinary email and are kept only as long as normal correspondence.
Changes to this policy
If the way the site handles data ever changes, this page is updated and the date at the top changes with it. Nothing here is buried or written to trick you; if you can think of a clearer way to say any of it, tell us.
